Background
The Southern California Insurance Professionals was
formed in May, 1994. Co-founders Lana R. Johnson and
Alexis Subee Fishman assembled a group of dedicated
professionals wanting to network and share knowledge in
an insurance industry focused environment. Our initial goal
was to assemble a synergistic network of professionals.
The success of the group has exceeded our expectations.

Vision
The Southern California Insurance Professionals (SCIP) is
an exclusive non-profit insurance networking group with
the goal of drawing in the best human capital in the
industry to network with industry professionals, generate
opportunities and to ultimately create meaning and
successful business relationships. SCIP is a progressive
organization website reflective of current SCIP events,
various industry functions, relevant information about our
organization and industry news in general.
At the direction of our Officers, Board of Directors and
vote of membership, SCIP gives back by supporting local
charities.
As a chapter of the National Association of Insurance
Professionals [ International ], INC. We have a worldwide
network of professionals along with educational programs,
training, national and state council meetings to augment
professional growth and development.
SCIP hosts lively monthly dinner meetings which are held
on the third Thursday of each month at Lakeside Golf Club
or similar venues. Through our various events (dinner
meetings, quarterly luncheons and networking functions)
we provide the platform to meet with success.
